ARC’S STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP WITH FACTORY PHYSICS INC. HELPS ITS CUSTOMER PARTNERS REDUCE COST AND INVENTORY
Arc has a strategic relationship with Factory Physics® Inc. (www.factoryphysics.com) that enables Arc to work with customer partners to reduce cost and inventory across the supply chain.
The Factory Physics principles and framework provide a quantitative, practical science that helps manage the “portfolio of buffers – capacity, inventory, time (delivery)” across the supply chain. Understanding the fundamental relationships that exist in manufacturing and supply chain operations enables a maximum return from deployment of well-known strategies such as lean and six sigma. Understanding why these programs work and when to deploy them across the supply chain with our customer partners reduces cost and inventory. A quote from the Factory Physics website says it best:
“I learned more about the Toyota Production System from four hours of training on Factory Physics® principles than I did in seven years as an employee at Toyota.”
- Karthik Chandramouli, Director of Lean Transformation, Motorola
Applying the Factory Physics principles and framework across the supply chain for on-time delivery of quality parts at best cost for OEM partners has achieved great results including:
- Reduction in lead times from 5 weeks to 2 days.
- Improvement in inventory turns from 5x to 43x on components for a customer partner.
- Better utilization of capital enabled significant price reductions.
Please ask us how we can partner with you to achieve these types of results.
